DTF vs Screen Printing: How to Choose for Your Order
Start with your project
DTF and screen printing can both be options for custom apparel. The useful question is which method suits your design, garment, quantity and deadline. At Wow! Custom Tees, we review those details before recommending a process.
How the processes differ
DTF transfers a printed design from film to a garment using heat. Screen printing applies ink through prepared screens. Their preparation is different, so the same design and quantity can require different work. Neither method is automatically best for every order.
Design and quantity
Share the actual artwork and requested size. A detailed multicolor image and a repeated logo run may lead to different recommendations. WCT has no minimum for printing, including screen printing, but the price and practical process depend on the job. A provider's usual bulk recommendation is not a universal minimum.
Garment and deadline
The material, construction and placement need review. WCT's routine same-day options are suitable DTF or vinyl orders with garments on hand and capacity available. Screen printing is not routine same-day; next day is the earliest possible completion and must be confirmed.
Compare the actual quote
Send the same artwork, garment details, quantity and deadline when asking about alternatives. Ask about preparation, finish, timing and care rather than assuming one method is always cheaper or longer-lasting. We confirm a quote for your order.

Common questions
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum order for our printing methods. We welcome a single custom piece as well as larger printing orders. We review the garment, design, quantity and deadline before confirming the method, price and completion time.
What does same-day mean?
Same-day means completing an accepted order during that same workday. Our routine same-day options are DTF and vinyl printing on suitable garments already in store or supplied by you. Availability depends on the order and production capacity. Confirm the completion time with us before relying on a deadline.
Can you screen print an order the same day?
Screen printing is not our routine same-day option because the screens and ink need preparation. Next-day completion is the earliest possible turnaround, not a guarantee. For suitable garments needed today, ask about DTF or vinyl printing.
Can every fabric be printed or embroidered?
Not every garment works with every method. Material, coatings, construction, seams and the design placement can affect suitability. Send garment details or a photo of the label so we can review the item and recommend an available option.
How much does customization cost?
The quote depends on the garments, quantity, design size and placement, customization method, preparation and deadline. Send your project details so we can review the work and provide an order-specific quote.
How long will my customization last?
Results depend on the garment, customization method, application and care. Ask for care guidance for your finished order and follow the garment's label as well. We do not promise a fixed number of washes or lifetime durability for every item.
